Marketing Assistant


We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our exciting and fast-growing tech agency.

You will work alongside the Marketing Manager to raise FX Digital’s profile as thought leaders across the technologies we work with and drive new business leads into the organisation, by effectively communicating FX Digital’s key services and messages to potential clients, partners and stakeholders

The Candidate

A Marketing Assistant at FX Digital has a passion for digital technology and a desire to learn and grow. We don’t expect you to have 10 year’s experience and be an expert in every aspect of Digital Marketing, after all, this is an entry-level position.

With that being said, we work with niche and sometimes unknown technologies, so your ability to quickly get-to-grips with the basics of how these work and the ability to communicate their benefits will be key. You won’t be afraid to ask questions if you don’t understand something and you’ll be keen to constantly learn and understand new things.

The Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for creating awesome, interesting thought leadership content, from ideation to posting (such as e-newsletters, blog posts, case studies and press releases).
  • You will write cool and thought-provoking content for social channels and be responsible for composing social posts.
  • You will manage relationships with partner organisations to ensure that we are engaging with event and content opportunities.
  • You will write eye-catching and stand-out award applications, to help the FX Digital team get their great work recognised.
  • You will be able to identify new and exciting opportunities to boost FX Digital’s profile.
  • You will compile a monthly marketing report to demonstrate the value of our activities across the previous month.
  • You will help the Sales team/Co-Founders with sales pitches/decks or research statistics when required.
  • You will work under the guidance and support of the Marketing Manager and Co-Founders, helping to execute our overall business strategy.
  • You will support other members of the FX Digital when necessary.

The Requirements

  • A good knowledge of Social Media platforms and how to effectively utilise them for businesses (mainly Linkedin, Twitter).
  • Strong communicator, with the ability to create well researched and written articles, blogs and social media posts.
  • A good knowledge of WordPress CMS, with the ability to upload and format content on the FX Digital website.
  • A good knowledge of Photoshop (and other similar design programs like Figma) with the ability to quickly put together branded digital assets.
  • The ability to use Google Analytics to analyse website visitor key metrics.
  • The ability to use video editing software to create and edit videos for social channels.
  • A keen eye for detail, a love for writing and editing and strong communication skills.
  • A team player with a hunger to learn and advance their marketing career.
  • A passion for driving new business through marketing activities.
  • A desire to progress your career within marketing.
  • A love for all things digital, with a finger on the pulse of the industry.

Job Details

  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
  • Location: FX Digital’s office are situated within the Truman Brewery, Shoreditch, East London (this role is a remote one for now, with the option to come into the office post-lockdown)
  • Salary: Depending on experience, between 22k-25k / year
